Up to 170 jobs have been announced at two separate companies.

Cork and Dublin are to share 20 new jobs as cloud computing firm Strencom said it would plough €6m of reinvested profits into expansion.

EIRCOM workers yesterday served strike notice on the company, meaning thousands of homes and businesses could be without communications by as early as next Friday.
