The company behind defunct bookseller Hughes & Hughes recorded a modest profit last year after slashing costs.

The firm behind bookseller Hughes & Hughes incurred losses totalling €1.35m in the two years prior to the Hughes & Hughes brand disappearing last year.

THE Hughes & Hughes brand is to be preserved with the reopening of five stores and plans for further expansion.
