EBay more than doubled its second-quarter net income thanks to higher revenue from its PayPal online payments business and its e-commerce websites.

A Dublin-based subsidiary of online auction giant eBay recorded a loss of €2.6m last year in spite of revenues rising by 2% to €54.7m.
