It has been confirmed that the Shinko plant in Tallaght in Co Dublin is to close down in November with the loss of about 340 jobs.

In a bleak day on the employment front, it has been reported that 300 jobs are to go at an electronics company in west Dublin. Shinko, a microelectronics company based at Tallaght, is to close its doors with the loss of all 300 jobs.
