THE Government yesterday launched a crackdown on cowboy security firms and thuggish club bouncers.

A GROUP of nightclub bouncers will be issued with unique ID tags after they graduate today The Irish Security Training Authority said personal details of its first batch of 40 certified door supervisors will be made available to gardaí on a national database.

VIOLENT criminals are being engaged by security service companies to act as bouncers, it was claimed last night.
