Harry Potter publisher Bloomsbury lost almost a third of its value today after the firm fired out a profits warning.

Harry Potter publisher Bloomsbury today said it continued to make good progress after benefiting from a “reasonably buoyant” UK book market.

Publishing company Bloomsbury said today that a magical performance from child wizard Harry Potter in the first half of 2003 helped it to one of the busiest six-month periods in its history.
