She has been immortalised in folklore, story and paintings. Now the legend of the famous lifeboat Mary Stanford has been recorded in song to help fund her ambitious restoration.

The first lifeboat to receive an award for bravery for its role in one of Ireland’s most daring sea rescues has been returned to its spiritual home.
