AN IRISH company has signed a €20 million 15-year contract with one of the world’s largest satellite operators to help provide a high-speed broadband service across Europe.

The development of broadband technology is being discussed by the Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment today.

Thirty jobs are to be created at a broadband company in the midlands, it was announced today.
