Thirty-three people were evacuated from a drilling rig in the Norwegian Sea on Tuesday after a fire broke out in the engine room, oil and gas company Statoil said.

Saipem’s share price fell by as much as 25% yesterday, after Europe’s biggest oil industry services group gave its second major profit warning in less than six months due to problems with contracts in Algeria, Mexico and Canada.

KENTZ, the oil and gas industry construction company, said its backlog of work had risen 52% at the end of the third quarter, compared to the second, and predicted continued double-digit earnings per share.
