Today’s meeting of Dairygold shareholders is set to be a stormy one as angry farmers bid to block the co-op’s plans for change. Agribusiness Correspondent Ray Ryan reports.

DAIRYGOLD has rejected claims by a group of shareholders that a bonus share offer is a sweetener to get members to adopt a new set of rules for the co-op tomorrow.

A TWO thirds majority of shareholders in favour will be needed to adopt a new rule book for Dairygold Co-op at a Special General Meeting to be held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting in April.

ELECTIONS were taking place last night to fill nine vacancies on the board of Dairygold Co-op.
