Three Romanian journalists kidnapped in Iraq are expected to return home later today, a day after their release.

Three Romanian journalists and their Iraqi-American guide were freed today after nearly two months held hostage in Iraq, the president’s office said.

Iraqi militants threatening to kill three Romanian journalists and a US hostage issued a new video today, extending the deadline until tomorrow for Romania to withdraw its troops, Al-Jazeera television said.
