A Kerry music producer has told the High Court he will not use the name of Riverdance or Riverdance Tribute Show in promotions planned for Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania in October and November.

An Irish dance show touring in Europe later this year will no longer be billed as a ‘Riverdance Tribute’ act.

Riverdance founders will tomorrow ask the High Court to restrain a music promoter from staging “illicit, unauthorised” Riverdance shows throughout Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania.
