Ulster secretary Danny Murphy has hit out at how media treated claims by a safety official that the proposed Casement Park could suffer a tragedy similar to the Hillsborough Disaster.

Hurlers in the Christy Ring, Nicky Rackard and Lory Meagher Cups have called on the GAA for the competitions to be afforded more recognition, according to a GPA survey.

The hurlers of Donegal, Armagh and Derry topped their respective groups in the Nicky Rackard Cup yesterday, gaining automatic qualification through to the July 29 semi-finals.
