A GALWAY student who suffered horrific injuries when she was hit by a traffic cone thrown from a bridge in Edinburgh has asked a judge not to jail the Australian man responsible.

A 29-YEAR-OLD man appeared in a Scottish court yesterday over an incident in which an Irish student was seriously injured by a falling traffic cone.

Hordes of music fans were expected to clog the streets of the Scottish capital today in a bid to snap up the final few tickets to one of this year’s hottest showbiz events.
