Pearson plc is exploring a sale of the Financial Times after receiving interest from potential buyers, sources said.

Emap’s consumer magazine division has attracted interest from the US publisher of Maxim, it was reported today.

With an offer of €2.6bn, US billionaire and film producer Haim Saban has lodged the highest bid for the assets of the insolvent KirchMedia, German media reported.
