A property developer has failed in an appeal in which he challenged the sale of his and his company's loans of around €25m to a fund.

A financial fund is objecting to a proposed personal insolvency arrangement under which a businessman will write off over €70m in debts.

The Commercial Court has granted summary judgement against a businessman over a €1.8m loan towards the purchase of a one-acre site at Mill Lane, Shankill, Co Dublin.
