Professional bodies representing principals and deputy principals are to consider alternative representation because they do not believe their trade unions did enough to protect their members’ interests in the Croke Park II discussions.

ALMOST €2 million is still owed to vocational school principals for running supervision and substitution schemes in their schools because of an inter-union row, a conference heard yesterday.

HUNDREDS of second-level principals may be owed up to €1.6 million because of a dispute over payment for running a schools supervision scheme, their union has claimed.
