The Supreme Court has cleared the way for implementation of a survival scheme for key companies of construction giant SIAC after dismissing a last-minute challenge by the Polish Roads Authority to the scheme.

A last-minute challenge to court approval for a survival scheme for key companies in construction giant SIAC has placed the companies and the jobs of 219 employees “in peril”, the Supreme Court was told yesterday.

A survival scheme for seven key companies in construction giant SIAC employing about 200 people has been approved by the High Court. The scheme, subject to some final modifications being approved later this week, will become effective from Monday next.
