It’s been a testing few weeks on the track, with the unfortunate injury to reigning champ Skywalker Puma and the prospect of ante-post favourite Ballymac Vic exiting the ETS Irish Derby without lining up for Saturday night’s first quarter-final at Shelbourne.

Paradise Madison’s ability remains fully intact and the Derby is now firmly in his sights.

Saturday night’s inaugural Night Of Stars at Shelbourne Park had its spills but, one unfortunate incident aside, it was overwhelmingly successful, and the Gain Feeds Open 600 which tailed the card, provided a fittingly spectacular finish to proceedings.
