A record €3.2m Irish sale for a yearling filly at Goff’s annual Orby sale was not enough to prevent it posting a 33% slump in pre-tax profits to €2.2m.

Bloodstock sales firm Goffs last year recorded a seven-fold increase in pre-tax profits to €755,000 after ring revenues topped €102m.
