Dunlop National Rally Championship contender, Eugene Donnelly leads the Galway Summer Rally in his Subaru at the end of the opening loop of three stages.

CELEBRATING a century of involvement in Irish Motorsport, Dunlop is again supporting the National Rally Championship that begins in Ballina on Sunday.

Setting fastest times on the opening three stages of the Tipperary Stonethrowers Rally, round 8 of the Dunlop National Rally Championship, Michael Barrable and co-driver, Dermot O’Gorman (Subaru WRC) have taken a 36 second advantage over the similar Subaru of Niall Maguire.

ALTHOUGH there are few certainties in rallying, Niall Maguire should wrap up the Dunlop National Rally Championship at the Clonmel Arms Hotel/FESP-sponsored Tipperary Stonethrowers Rally on Sunday.

Defending champions Johnny O’Sullivan/Pat Cashman (Escort WRC) are the new leaders of the Yokohama Tyres Kerry Winter Rally.
