The Opel-GPA Hurling Team of the Year has been announced ahead of the awards ceremony at the Citywest Hotel on Friday. The selected team includes 14 of the players who received All-Star awards last month.

Armagh's Steven McDonnell and Galway's Ger Farragher have been named as Opel GPA Players of the League in football and hurling respectively, at the inaugural 2010 Awards in Dublin today.

KERRY’S Paul Galvin and Kilkenny’s Tommy Walsh both achieved personal doubles last night by being named the Opel GPA players of the year for football and hurling.

ALL-IRELAND finalists Kilkenny and Tipperary dominate the Opel GPA Hurling Team of the Year for 2009, winning 13 of the 15 available places between them.
