A MULTINATIONAL company, which planned to employ 400 people when it opened in Waterford three years ago, has announced it is to cease manufacturing operations at the plant.

An international computer components maker today confirmed it could not live up to a pledge to employ more than 400 workers at a plant in Waterford.
