A woman is due to go on trial today accused of murdering her son.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out today on the body of an eight-year-old boy found dead in his bed.

The HSE is to launch a “comprehensive review” of its involvement with the family of eight-year-old Anthony Ward, who was found dead in his home in North Cork yesterday morning.
