Bank Of Ireland has announced it is to sell its asset management, ICS building society and New Ireland Life Assurance divisions under agreement with the EUropean Commission.

The New Ireland Life Assurance firm has claimed Irish people do not make enough provision for their financial security in the event of an illness.
