A clamper who was left brain-damaged when he was attacked with a hammer when he clamped a car has settled his High Court action for €2m.

Operating profits at one of the country’s largest private car park operators last year more than doubled to €511,337.

The largest car-clamping firm in the country plunged into the red in 2012 to record pre-tax losses of €621,629.
