HEALTH Minister Mary Harney has pre-empted the recommendations of a major report on the proposed new national children’s hospital by announcing plans for a major children’s care centre close to her constituency.

ORIGINAL plans for the manner in which care will be delivered at a new children’s hospital have been significantly changed according to the board of directors of Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin (OLCHC).

The Government has decided that the new national children’s hospital will be located in the Mater Hospital.
