The number of people out of work fell by 22,000 in the year to June, as the unemployment rate has fallen slightly to 13.7%.

Employment has increased for the whole year for the first time since 2008, according to the Quarterly National Household survey released this week.

The live register decreased by 15,350 (-8.7%) people in September to 160,466. This compares with a corresponding decrease of 15,131 (-8.1%) in September of last year.
