MEMBERS of the clergy are being actively canvassed around the country by a group of priests disillusioned at not having a public voice. They are seeking to set up an association to represent their views.

IT would be difficult to exaggerate the sense of dismay following claims that the Church has no obligation to bring cases of clerical child abuse to the notice of the garda authorities.

The National Conference of Priests has called on all victims of clerical child sex abuse to report the incidents to the Gardai or health officials.
