The operators of the Cork to Swansea ferry service were unable to secure the investment required to ensure its survival, the High Court heard yesterday.

SHAREHOLDERS of the West Cork Tourism Cooperative may invest further in the Cork-Swansea ferry operation in order to see it through examinership.

THE ferry service operating between Cork and Swansea has exceeded all expectations and will have carried around 85,000 passengers before the end of the year.
