The Cork family of four-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier ’Irek’ were devastated when he went missing last week, and after five days of looking they had almost given up hope.

A Staffordshire bull terrier has been rescued after spending five nights trapped in a storm drain.

An exotic bird with slender legs, bright plumage and a sense of adventure was found wandering the streets of Cork’s northside, looking a little lost.
