Mitsubishi are the latest motor company to become embroiled in a scandal involving rigged emission levels on its’ cars.

The boss of the Monticello Motor Club in upstate New York claims his circuit is in the running to host a United States Grand Prix following positive talks with Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone.

A German newspaper report quotes a Mitsubishi official as saying that Mitsubishi Motors Corp (MMC) needs at least €2bn fresh capital from shareholders DaimlerChrysler AG and the Mitsubishi group.
