THE European Union’s drug and police agencies have launched a joint investigation into amphetamine-type ‘legal highs’ on sale in head shops and over the internet.

A “HERBAL high” that mimics the effect of cannabis should be banned, the British Government’s drug adviser has said.

Cannabis will be reclassified as a less dangerous drug so that possession is no longer an arrestable offence, British Home Secretary David Blunkett confirmed today.
