A NEW booklet will help to minimise the dangers of sportsmen and women taking substances which could find them in hot water for taking illegal substances.

IRELAND has set a lead for the rest of Europe if not the world in the fight against drugs in sport with the launch yesterday of a new initiative which will ensure that every doctor in the country will know every month what drugs are and are not banned.

A new pharmaceutical guide has been launched today to ensure doctors don't prescribe banned substances to athletes.
