YOUR article (June 1) linking mobile phones and cancer is laudable but may serve to confuse rather than enlighten, which probably reflects the reality of the situation as of today.

I WAS disappointed with the article headlined ‘The real cost of energy dependence’ (May 31).

IT is apparent that Dr Colmán Etchingham (Letters, March 25) has not bothered to familiarise himself with either the history of the formation of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) or with the detail of its work and method of operation.

THANK God for the EU and its environmental regulations - I really believe that we would be living in a cesspit without them.

WHY are we spending more and more on ‘health’ services, while many accepted indicators denote deterioration rather than improvement? What has happened to the holistic concept?
