Garda Commissioner Nóirín O’Sullivan said new legislative measures aimed at combating the growing problem of drug-driving would "undoubtedly save lives".

The Government is considering legislation which would force employers to conduct sobriety tests on their drivers.

The Information Commissioner has recommended that An Garda Siochána, the Central Bank and Nama, among other public bodies, be covered by the Freedom of Information Act.
