The business that started the hotel empire of the Lynch Group, Co Clare’s West County Hotel, Ennis is being sold by a receiver, for around €2.5m as a going concern.

The chief executive of the country’s largest hotel group said yesterday that the Dalata Group significantly increased its revenues last year and had good growth in its operating profits.

A RECEIVER has been appointed to the Lynch Group’s flagship and longest established hotel, the West County Hotel in Ennis.

A RECEIVER has been appointed to two hotels in the Ennis-based Lynch Hotel Group, by Bank of Scotland (Ireland), putting around 100 jobs at risk.

An unknown number of jobs may be at risk after receivers were appointed to two hotels within the Lynch Hotel Group.
