The Supreme Court wants the Court of Justice of the EU to determine legal issues with potentially serious implications for the treatment of extradition requests from Germany and Lithuania.

THE Minister for Finance has asked the board of Anglo Irish Bank to reconsider its assertion of legal privilege over some electronic documents seized by the Director of Corporate Enforcement for his investigation into the bank, the Commercial Court heard yesterday.

FINANCE Minister Brian Lenihan will make the final decision on whether state-owned Anglo Irish Bank can continue to withhold documents from the Director of Corporate Enforcement (DCE) by seeking to have them deemed legally privileged.
