THE family of a stroke victim who died after a fall from a hospital bed were distraught after their father’s remains were left in a busy ward for more than six hours.

A PUBLIC inquiry into the controversial Lost at Sea Scheme has been stalled to allow the warring factions in the Department of Agriculture and the Ombudsman’s office time to reconsider the stand-off.

FIANNA FÁIL deputies have blocked attempts to call the Ombudsman before an Oireachtas Committee for an investigation into her report on the controversial Lost at Sea scheme.
