THE Christmas holiday period has been marked by a series of single-vehicle collisions that have claimed the lives of three young men in separate accidents.

The lobby group Patients Together has criticised the Government over delays in planned developments at two hospitals in Mullingar and Dublin.

A number of planned hospital developments have reportedly been delayed because of concerns about the cost of the projects.
