A “complete prohibition” on admitting seriously physically unwell residents to a private eating disorders treatment centre has been imposed by the Mental Health Commission.

An inspection of Ireland’s only dedicated residential centre for the treatment of eating disorders found it had no input from a medical specialist or medical facility.
