British supermarket shares were today unruffled by the UK's Competition Commission (CC) progress report on its inquiry into the £95bn (€145bn) grocery sector.

Computer services group Logica CMG rallied the tech sector today after reporting healthy growth in its two biggest trading regions.

A downbeat start to trading in New York meant the London market only scraped its way to a positive close today.

Logica CMG has said that its trading is in line with lowered forecasts issued in March. The company was reporting ahead of its AGM.
