LEBANON’S marine commandos yesterday recovered the black box of the Ethiopian Airlines jet that crashed into the Mediterranean last month, the Lebanese army said.

ISRAELI warplanes intensified air strikes and launched a new commando raid in south Lebanon yesterday, killing at least 33 people in one of the heaviest tolls in days.

Israeli missiles struck Lebanon from north to south and in the Bekaa Valley near Syria, killing 35 people, including a family who had come from Canada to visit their home village.
