The Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland has warned that public safety and building standards could be compromised if the requirement to comply with building regulations for single houses or extensions is removed.

A FORMER mayor of Limerick has been nominated by the Transport Minister Noel Dempsey to the board of Shannon Foynes Port Company.

THE working group set up by the troubled Shannon Foynes Port Company (SPFC) has commenced its deliberations on the future of the 44-acre docklands and a further 36 acres of adjoining property.

THE Limerick Docklands Initiative (LDI), which involves a master plan for the future development of 44 acres at the city’s port, was back on track last night.
