Lakeland Dairies has announced 68 redundancies at its processing facilities in Monaghan.

Lakeland Dairies has reported an operating profit of €17.5m for 2018, up from €16.8m in 2017, while highlighting Brexit outcomes as the main uncertainty for the year ahead.

Overseas customers are waiting to take the 45% of extra milk which Lakeland Dairies suppliers are expected to produce from 2015 onwards, rising to exceed 1bn litres annually by 2020.
