AT least two non-League sides are guaranteed a place in the last 16 of the Carlsberg FAI Cup after last night’s draw for the second round at Dublin’s Guinness Store.

Kildare County FC suffered their first ever defeat on Tuesday night as they fell 2-0 to Premier Division stars Bohemians in an absorbing pre-season friendly at Kildare Town.

The eircom League has decided to invite Kildare County Football Club to apply to join the eircom League at the AGM in April with a view to the club competing in the First Division of the League when next season begins in early July.
