KILDARE County Football Club's Under 21 team have recorded their first ever victory in the Eircom U21 League - and they had the unlikeliest hero imaginable to thank.

Excitement is building in advance of Kildare County Football Club's two historic matches over the next ten days.

The eircom League has decided to invite Kildare County Football Club to apply to join the eircom League at the AGM in April with a view to the club competing in the First Division of the League when next season begins in early July.
