Tullow Oil has announced that it has agreed the sale of its interests in 10 CMS Area blocks to Venture Production plc for a total cash consideration of £35m (€44.5m).

Oil exploration company Tullow was today celebrating a potentially “significant” new gas discovery in the North Sea.

“WE DON’T have enough firewood for the winter, so at the moment we’re collecting old plastic bottles to burn. We have to survive the winter somehow.”
