An Bord Pleanála has granted planning permission for the first motorway service station to be built in Cork county.

One of the country’s leading providers of motorway services has applied for planning permission to build a major service station in north Cork, on the M8.

An application for planning permission has been lodged for the first 24-hour motorway service station in Co Cork, which if approved will lead up to 100 full-time jobs being created.
