The Federation of Irish Beekeepers Associations has warned of a major problem with the decline of habitats, flora and fauna, bees, birds and other wildlife.

The OPW has bowed to public pressure and plans to use demountable barriers instead of raising quay walls along two historic quays as part of its €140m flood defence plan for Cork City.
